          1. Allotments, roof gardens, spare space in towns, balcony gardens are created
            1. The aim is to increase the connection people have with food production
              1. In LICs they would be part of food security to produce nutritious food
              2. It is set up by community groups giving them the opportunity to engage in the environment even though they live in urban areas
            2. Seasonal Food
              1. LICs can afford to have nutritious food for each season
                1. Reduces Food Miles
                  1. This would cause less pollution
                2. Reducing Food Waste
                  1. 1/3 of food produced is lost or wasted
                    1. There would be more food to feed the growing population if we didn't waste this much food
                    2. It encourages people to compost waste rather than putting it in bins
                      1. Food in landfill sites produce Methane
                        1. This is a Greenhouse Gas, contributing to Global Warming
