  1. Extrinsic- Risk factor external to the body, that causes injury
    1. Coaching
      1. teaching the wrong technique such as a tackle in football can cause injury to your players aswell as others.
        1. poor leadership and interpersonal skills can effect the team as a whole creating a weak team that are not in coordination with one another which also can cause injuries.
          1. If the coach doesnt follow the rules set (NGBs) the risk of injury and poor team work is hightened
            1. To prevent any of the above all coaches are to have the correct qualfiications to teach and ensure they are updated regarly on all changes in rules and regulations aswell as making sure the coach has the right skills and placed with the right agr range.
            2. Incorrect technique
              1. not following the correct technique will cause injury to you and others surrounding
                1. Up date knowlege and review ways of the correct technique.
                2. Incorrect set up and lifting can cause injury. you are not the one to spot what you are doing wrong causing greater harm
                  1. More than one should set up with a observer so you dont struggle as well as can spot any miss haps before it happens
                3. Environmental factors
                  1. If the weather is diffrent from what players are normally used to changes will need to be made for their safety as different conditions will chage the style of play.
                    1. Slips and falls
                      1. Make sure they are reported in to accident book so things can be put into place to stop
                      2. wet floor
                        1. In football the floor can be raked so holes in the ground to ensure the water is soaked in creating less risks of slips as well as studs on boots to ensure a strudy grip
                        2. Colder conditions
                          1. ensure all players are streched and warmed up more and keep moving as hyperthermia can set in. also more protective clothing to ensure the muscles dont stiffen creating poor performance
                        3. Clothing and footwear
                          1. Not wearing the correct equipment such as a mouth guard in rugby can cause teeth to be broken
                            1. coach should ensure all players know what is best for them and why
                            2. wrong footwear. if a player wears studs on tarmaced floor players are playing differently and more likey to slip as the studs give more grip in grass which without can cause injury
                              1. Advise the player wears correct footwear and ensure all players have the knowledge to fully equipt in the right way
                              2. Damaged equipment
                                1. If the equipment is damaged for instance helmet has a crack you are more acceptible to injury during the sport. coaches and players should report and damage to clothing or equipment before use and then can be replaced
                                2. Ther wrong protective clothing
                                  1. If the worng clothing is worn such as in running a compression shorts or clothing can be worn to stop injuries within muscles if this item is damaged you are at risk. check clothing before and after use and replace if any damage occurs
                                3. Safety hazards

                                    1. All risk assesment should be created and be put in place with all abouve to prevent any damage to players people surrounding equipment and making sure the right care is given this should be regulary updated
                                4. Intrinsic-Physical aspect of the athletes body that can cause injury
                                  1. Muscle imbalance
                                    1. over compensation can cause this creating one side or muscle to be over used this can be caused by an injury to therfore create an injury to the muscle and its supporting other andextar weight
                                      1. warm up correctly, rest if have injury
                                    2. In adequate warm up
                                      1. If you dont warm up and strech you are at higher risk to injury as your ligaments and muscles are not streched. if not you can cause strain and injury. warm up correctly all over the body not just main libs used.
                                      2. Postural defects
                                        1. over use
                                          1. If you use or train one muscle more than the other with the sane weight this can cause weekness and cause damamge when you do tey. train all muscles the same and not too much as over use can cause injur.
                                          2. age
                                            1. the wrong sport to the age range can cause injury within muscles as development or weakneess and strenth varies within age
                                              1. ensure the correct coach and exercises are done witht eh correct age range weight and less strain for older people and youngers
                                            2. poor technique
                                              1. for example if you do a wrong method on ecercises such as press ups there are cdertain guidlines to ensure you dont cause injury if you have your arms too close or too far away this can cause strain and lead to injury. Reasearch exercises and techniques beforre trying.
