                    1. Post-Impressionism is a French art movement led by Paul Cézanne (known as father of Post-impressionism), Paul Gauguin, and Vincent van Gogh. It was developed roughly between 1886 and 1905
                    2. Characteristics
                      1. Post-Impressionism is an extended version of impressionism while rejecting some of its limitations. As for example Post-Impressionism continues using impressionism characteristics such as using vivid colours, often thick application of paint, and a real life subject matter, but Post-Impressionism is more inclined to emphasise geometric forms, distort form for expressive effect, and use of unatural or arbitrary colours. It also uses many textured/scratchy style to it.
