2. b) SCP(single cell protein) :- denotes dead n dried cells of microbes like bacteria, algae, molds n yeasts.

1. a) Production of Alcoholic beverages :
  1. i) WINE=strains of yeast + sacchromyces cerevisiae
  2. ii) BEER=made from Barley+ sacchromyces cerevisiae(for fermentation) steps:- Malting, Mashing & fermentation
  3. iii) WHISKY =fermenting mix. of grains of wheat, corn n barley.

  1. Organic acid=Microbes used i) Citric acid=Aspergillus niger ii) Gluconic acid=Aspergillus niger iii) Fumaric acid=Rhizopus arrhizus iv) Acetic acid =Acetobacter aceti
