Vitamins A,D,E, K are stored in our body
Vitamin A: helps prevent eye problems
Found in carrots, peaches, milk, eggs,fortified cereals, orange fruits leafy green vegetables.
Vitamin K: helps blood to clot
Found in green leafy vegetables, broccoli, soybeans.
Vitamin D: Strengthens bones
Formed when you get sunlight. You can get it from egg yolks, salmon tuna, sardines, milk, and orange juice.
Vitamin E: Protects cells from damage and is important for red blood cells
Found in vegetable oils, nuts, green leafy vegetables, avocado, wheat germ.
Water-soluble
Vitamins C, B are not stored in the body
Vitamin C: Needed for bones, teeth, and blood vessels. Helps to form collagen and contributes to brain function.
Found in citrus fruits, strawberries, kiwi, peppers, tomatoes, broccoli, spinach.
Vitamin B 12: Helps make red blood cells and is important for nerve function
