An incident near a
fruit stall
- I ate a banana
and threw a banana peel
on the floor.
- A passerby did not see the banana
peel, slipped on it and fell. To my
horror, that person was my
neighbour!
- My neighbour was fuming mad and
shouted at the on-lookers : " WHO
THREW THIS BANANA PEEL? "
- All the on-lookers just stared at
each other.No one dared to
moved. they just stared.
- I felt really guilty and although I
was trembling with fear, I owned
up. My neighbour's mind was now
engulfed with rage.
- She shouted at me:" WHY did you throw
the pathetic banana peel on the floor? I will
not just let this matter rest. I will tell your
parents and make sure you learn your
lesson."
- From then on, I
learnt my lesson.
