Raised in midwest Michigan,
and was born in 1973. Is 46
years old.
Grew up on Legos, Star Wars,
family trips, little sisters,
summer beach fun, stitches, fall
foliage, drawing, skateboarding
and snowboarding. This is where
he draws a lot of his style from
His career started with a snowboard graphic for Solid
snowboards and after that business took off for him.
After 5 years in Oregon he moved to
Minneapolis to finish up his design degree
at the Minneapolis College of Art and
Design. This is where he polished up his
design skills.
In 2000 he worked for SNOWBOARDER magazine and
won “Art Director of the Year” for Primedia 2000.
Then in 2002 he got a job at the
Cinco Design Office of
Portland, Oregon as a Senior
Designer.
In 2004 The Draplin Design Co. is finally a fully functioning business. Working
for brands such as Coal Headwear, Union Binding Co., Richmond Fontaine,
Esquire, Nike, Wired, Dinosaur Jr, Timberline, Chunklet, Eaux Claires Music
Festival, Poler, Incase, Sub Pop Records, Fender, Marc Maron, Cobra Dogs, Jill
