  1. Why is Antarctica extreme?
    1. Antarctica is located around the South pole, so you can't really get anymore extreme than that! It's bloody cold!
      1. Antarctica is a continent. It has an area of 5 million square miles. That's one and a half times the size of the USA!
        1. No one had lived there at all until 1897. Hardly anyone lives there no either, except scientists.
          1. The temperature is usually bellow freezing. Temperatures have been recorded on an island to be -60 degrees. And on the coast, the temperatures can sink to -30 degrees.
