In multicelluar organisms, cells become specialised
to perform particular functions. for example, the
cells which line the cheek form a continous layer of
cells that are the same size and shape, while cells in
a leaf group themselves to form protective
coverings or areas where photosynthesis takes
place.
Yeast is an example of a fungus,
that lives as a single celled
organism.
Bacteria are single celled organisms.
