Who would be the audience for your media product?
- Our film genre: Coming of
age
- Coming of age films are usually
targeted at a teenage audience
as they can relate to the
journey's characters are
experiencing. The films however,
could feature explicit content
that could make the rating rise
over 18.
- This genre could also be split
into two sections, a younger
audience and an older
audience. This also gives the
genre a variety of viewers.

- Our main target audience would be an audience who can relate to
the topic of our film and could understand what the protagonist is
going through. On the other hand, I think that our film could be
directed towards many audiences but 'coming of age' viewers would
take to it best.
- The narrative is mainly female in our film and although this is
the case, we would market the film to both sexes to create a
fair viewing. By having characters that are both male and
female, it means our piece will appeal to both sexes, therefore
creating a wider audience spread.
- As this genre focuses on the growth of the protagonist and their journey,
I think that personal growth and their internal/external change is
extremely important. This is why we decided to include every convention
of the genre in our piece. I think that this enhanced our film and made
the narrative strong.
