Aid project in LEDC (Goat aid)
1 A project in Africa, Burundi, which is provided through oxfam, helping impoverished villages
2 Its is self reliant and receives no help from the government making it a NGO-non governmental organisation
3 works by providing widowed women with a goat which will give them multiple benefits
3.1 The goat can then breed and create a herd
4 It is sustainable because once a women has enough goats to make a herd she gives one goat back to the organization which will repeat the process with another women
5 The goats require little care and are easy to look after
6 One problem is that the goats eat a lot of grass which may lead to desertification
7 The project hasn't had a significant affect on poverty but has increased the nmber of hoofed animals like goats which provide benefits for locals
8 Benefits
8.1 Milk-can be used for children or sold
8.2 Meat-sold or eaten
8.3 Milk-for children or sold
8.4 Younger goats in herd can be sold
8.5 fur-made into clothes=sold
8.6 Manure creates a better yield of crops=more money
