stored in food, fuels and celles and kinetic energy is stored i moving things.

energy being stored in streched things and nucleur energy being stored inside
energy is measured in joules (J) or kilojoules (KJ)

Energy cannot be destroyed, but can only be transferred from one place to another. This is the law of conservation of energy
Not all energy is transferred usefully. Often it is turned into heat we cannot use. This is wasted
energy.
