                    1. Analysis will rapidly show where you need to improve your skills or acquiere new ones.
                    2. Discover your intelectual arrogance

                        1. Feedback reveal when the problema is a lack of manners.
                          1. Comparing your expectations with your results also indicates what not to do.

                            1. It's a matter of personality
                              1. Just as people achieve results by doing what they are good at, they also achieve results by working in ways that they best perform.
                                1. A few common personality traits usually determine how a person performs.
                                  1. Am I a reader or a listener?
                                    1. Few listeners can be made, or can make themselves, into competent readers and vice versa.
                                    2. How do I learn?
                                      1. Do not try to change yourself- you are unlikely to succeed.
                                        1. Work hard in the way you perform.
                                          1. Try not to take on work you cannot perfor, or will only perform poorly.
                                        2. Where are my values?
                                          1. To Work in an organization whose value system is unacceptable or incompatible with one's own, condemns a person both to frustration and to nonperformance.
                                            1. TO be effective in an organization, a person's values must be compatible with the organization's values.
                                              1. They do not need to be the same, but they must be close enough to coexist.
                                            2. Where do I belong?
                                              1. Highly gifted people, do not really know where they belong until they are past their mid-twenties.
                                                1. The person who has learned that he or she doesn't perform well in a big organization should have learned to say no to a position in one.
                                                  1. Succesful careers are not planned.
                                                    1. They develop when people are prepared for opportunities because they know their strenghts, their method of work, and their values.
