  1. He promsed to pay the reperations and he called off the passive resistance
    1. The passive resistance in the rurh was causing germany to be bankrupt

          1. Because of the willingness to pay off the reperation the Allies were willing to negotiation about reparation payments

            1. The German Mark was destroyed by hyperinflation
              1. They replaced the old currency with a new currency called Rentenmark
                1. This solved the problem of currency and gave the people confidence in it again
                  1. This stabilised the value of money and prices returned to normal

                    1. This allowed Germany to pay less monthly over a longer period of time
