  1. PESSCL
    1. The government set up the PE School Sport and Club Links strategy to increase and the take up of sporting opportunities by 5-16 year olds. The PESSCL programme aims to strengthen links between schools and local sports clubs.
      1. PESSYP
        1. The new PE and School Sport Strategy (PESSYP) expresses the commitment to improve the quantity and quality of PE and Sport undertaken by young people aged 5-19 in England. PESSYP builds on the success of the PESSCL strategy for 5-16 year olds.
    2. Sport England
      1. This organisation believes sport has the power to change people's lives. Sport England is committed to creating opportunities for people to start, stay and succeed in sport.
        1. START: increase participation in sport in order to improve the health of the nation, with a focus on priority groups
          1. STAY: retaining people in sport in order to improve the health of the nation, with a focus on priority groups
            1. SUCCEED: creating opportunities for talented performers to achieve success
          2. YOUTH SPORT TRUST
            1. This is aimed at encouraging students in the 14-16 age group to organise and manage sports activities and dance festivals in local primary and secondary schools. Students who are taking GCSE PE or who have taken awards in, for example, sports leadership are offered the opportunity to put their leadership skills to good use. their experience as a leader or official may even count towards a GCSE.
            2. SCHOOL SPORTS PARTNERSHIP
              1. School Sport Partnerships (SSPs) are groups of schools working together to develop PE and sporting opportunities for all young people. At the hub of the partnership is Stanground College, a Specialist Sports College.
              2. ACTIVE KIDS PROGRAMME
                1. Various supermarkets and other enterprises run voucher programmes in which vouchers collected by parents can be used by the schools to buy sporting and other equipment. One examples is ACTIVE KIDS run by Sainsburys
