Drug abuse
1. using drugs in a way that harms the user
Drug
1. a substance which, when taken, affects the body or mind
prescription drugs
1. drugs legally obtained only with a doctors consent
illegal drugs
1. drugs which are illegal to possess, sell or use. Put into 3 categories according to their potential harm and addictiveness
Social drugs
1. legal drugs which are still addictive such as alcohol, nicotine and caffeine
Caffeine
1. A mild legal stimulant found in coffee, chocolate and many fizzy drinks
Solvents
1. some aerosols glue and gas lighter refills abused by sniffing, which can cause hallucinations- CAN BE FATAL
Legal drugs
1. drugs that can be purchased legally although some can have age restrictions
RECLASSIFICATION OF CANNABIS
1. Cannabis
  1. a class B drug which is usually smoked, which some wish to be legalised
Tobacco
1. Used in cigarettes and cigars it contains nicotine, an addictive social drug
RELIGIOUS BELIEF
1. DONT YOU KNOW THAT YOURSELVES ARE GOD'S TEMPLE AND THAT GOD'S SPIRIT LIVES IN YOU? IF ANYONE DESTROYS GODS TEMPLE, GOD WILL DESTROY HIM
DRUG CLASSIFICATION
1. Class A
  1. Heroin- 7 years imprisonment
  2. Ecstasy- 7 years imprisonment
  3. LSD- 7 years imprisonment
2. Class C
  1. Anabolic steroids
3. Class B
  1. Cannabis- 5 years for possession - 14 years for supply
