                1. 86% of the 16 affectionless psychopaths had experienced early and prolonged separations from mothers
                  1. Only 17% of the other 28 (the thieves not identified as affectionless psychopaths) had experienced early and prolonged maternal separations
                    1. Only 4% of the 44 control group had experienced frequent early separations
                    2. CONCLUSIONS
                      1. Suggests a link between early separations and later social and emotional maladjustment
