  1. Aims and Objectives
    1. Survival
      1. A large proportion of businesses will fail within 12 months so the main aim at the start is survive.
      2. Profit Maximaisation
        1. This is one of the main aims of any business as it will allow them to get the most out of the business by having a high profit margin
        2. Growth
          1. This is for many firms as they will want to grow the business and have more branches and they want to expand.
          2. Improving the corporate image
            1. This is normally an aim for larger companies
            2. Concern for the environment
              1. In recent years consumers what to by products that have not affected the environment during production
            3. Alternative Business Aims
              1. Some businesses do not have the same types of aims as the normal ones.
                1. Organisations such as NHS will want to provide a High Class Health Service instead of making high profitss.
                  1. Social Enterprises will aim to put back into the community instead of trying to maximise profits or anything like that.
                  2. How the aims of a business may be in conflict
                    1. On occasions a business may find that some of it's aims are in conflict
                      1. An Example is when the finance sid eof teh copany is trying to reduce costs but the advertising side wants to put a large billboard add around the local city which will cost lots of mooney.
                    2. Ethical and Moral Issues Associated with Business Aims
                      1. Some businesess will find it hard to balance it out but then some can do it.
                        1. Normaly a business will seem to care for the envirnment so that it will keep in check by there moral values
                          1. Other issues are as folows
                            1. Paying fair wages
                              1. Refusing to by goods made in countries where workers are exploited
                                1. Sell "Fair Trade" products
                                  1. Recycle paper
                                    1. Refuse to sell products tested on Animals.
