P4A started in 2007. Starting in 2007, Nerdfighteria posted over 400 videos promoting charities including UNICEF, Autism Speaks, and Toys for TotsIn 2013, an Indiegogo Campaign ran raising $721,696 for the campaign. In 2013, a final total of $869,591 was raised. In 2014, he raised $525,704 in a similar event, and in 2015 he similarly raised $532,224.Pewdiepie began a "Water Campaign" charity, where his fans could donate money to Charity: Water, in celebration of reaching ten million subscribers. He also contributed one dollar to the charity for every 500 views the video announcing the campaign accumulates, up to a maximum of $10,000.
