LAB RECORD LABEL
The labels reputation is a perfect stepping stone as it has a strong ability to spot and develop young talent.
It is expanding all the time and our and their artists are now performing at live events around the world.
In 2011 the label moved to a new office in the North of Manchester. Manchester are responsible for some of the most influential labels and bands of the modern industry. Two years later they signed a distribution deal which meant the artists could become better known.
This is an example of an artist at Lab Records. This is Katie Sky with her song Monsters. This is relevant to our artist as it is a young girl. Therefore this label may be effective to advertise our artist and capture a large audience for her.
Another artist is Anavae. The cover for this single is quite simple but can still create meaning which is something we want to incorporate in our video. We want our video to create meaning and allow the audience to slightly understand what is happening.
Critical music record
Critical Music name has become one of the most successful independent record labels in the UK today. It has grown from a simple idea to putting out the best music to offer.
It now releases its music at clubs in London meaning it is heard by a larger audience. There are also tours by the music label where they take their music to different places for it to be heard by different people.
Syco has offices in London and LA and is home to many artists. It has the rights to sign winners and finalists of programmes. Its original base is in London and has lots of success in the UK market.
It has formed close partnerships with Sony Music Entertainment and her entered an agreement with Columbia records.
Syco deals with very advanced singers such as Cher Lloyd. This is effective because Cher is a very young, talented performer who the audience can relate to and the young age group enjoy listening to.
There is also the world wide known band One Direction. These are especially good because they have got audience all around the world which we would like our artist to be like.
