1st order consumers - eat plants - cows , insects , sheep

If we don't have plants, everything else will die - as plants is the primary source - must be near grassland - hence plants

purpose: - to live - to make energy - anything else is regarded as a side product.

C6H1206 + 02 -------------> Co2 + H20 (regarded as side production) + Energy

The leaves (plants) or producers - where the photesythensis occurs. They drops of trees , because there is lack of energy - it basically hibernates. When it gets colder and colder , it loses energy. The energy goes to the repiring of the treetrunk and the production of new cells. You need energy to live , in order to suvive with body temp and cells.

You are consuming all energy , so therefore is not much to pass on.

Extension Question D

In water , there is carbon dioxide and oxygen - fish they need oxygen to survive - therefore there must in cellur repsiration in order to survive. Plants do photosynthesis , we need carbobdioxide in water. Plastic Plant would not change the percentages.
