- An active audience
Where aspects of media are borrowed from other forms of media.
E.G: Spy Kids contains borrowed ideas from the James Bond film franchise.
Where works are constructed with whatever materials are available. E.G The workers on 'The Hunt for Gollum' used scaffolding and bits of recycled metal to create their micro budget film.
Where the past is celebrated, and references to more older texts are used. E.G.The famous phrase "you were only meant to blow the bloody doors off," from The Italian Job is often reference in factual TV shows such as Top Gear.
