Types of changes in movement - Changing the resting state of objects. - Stopping the movement of objects. - Acelerating the movement of objects. - Changing the direction.
Types of deformations - Plastic deformations. -Elastic deformations.
How do we represent a force? With arrows.
What are the characteristics of the arrows of a representation of a force? 1. Point of aplication: we draw the arrows from the centre of the object. 2. The lenght of the arrow gives the information about the global value of the force. 3. We need an information of the direction and sense of the force. 4. When we have two or more forces acting on a body, we need to calculate the FR.
Information about the direction and sense of the force Direction: i (with an arrow on); x axis j (with an arrow on); y axis Sense: + ; up and right - ; down and left
To produce changes in movement We need an aceleration. An aceleration is produced by the FR.
Relation between FR and aceleration (formula) FR = m (mass of body) · a (aceleration in m/s elevated 2)
What does this symbol mean? Sigma - Sumatorio (en español) Use: To plus all the forces of a ploblem (for example).
Force elastic (formula) Force elastic = -K · Δl = -K (lf - l₀)
Force applied (formula) Force applied = K · Δl = K (lf - l₀)
What does K mean? Elastic constant
What does Δ mean? Variation
