Light
  1. Reflection
    1. Light reflected into an eye from a luminous source
      1. Light reflected into an eye from a non-luminous source
      2. Refraction
        1. Ray diagram- This helps to explain how refraction works
          1. Refraction is the bending of light as it travels from one medium (clear substance) to another. For example when light travels from air to glass. Refraction occurs due to the change in speed in which the light travels at. For example, light travels much faster in air than glass because glass is more dense for therefore it takes more energy for the light travels.
            1. Note: The Angle of Incidence is the same as the Angle of Refraction
            2. Density- The more dense a media is the the more the light sloes down and so bends towards the normal line e.g air is less dense than glass
              1. Interface- The point where the light goes from one medium to another e.g air - perspex
              2. Images + Lenses
                1. An image is created when light reflects off an object, travels through a lens and focuses on a point, creating an image
                  1. Converging lenses are always convex (curve outwards). It makes rays that are coming in converge onto a point. The point where the rays converge is called the principal focus. Used in cameras and glasses.
                  2. Colour
                    1. Spectrum colours- Red, orange, yellow, green ,blue ,indigo, violet
                      1. This diagram shows how colours are made/ how red, green and blue (the only colours that we can actually see) are mixed to create shades (pink, purple and yellow
                        1. All the colours of the spectrum hit a box, for example, but only the colours, or colours mixed to create a shade, of the box will be visible.
