Factorising

Factorising is essentially the opposite of expanding brackets and just wants you to put the anwser back into backets.

steps;1. find the number or letter which goes into all of the numbers.2.place that number outside of the bracket3. find the multiplication you have to do with the number outside the bracket to get back to one of the starting numbers.4. repeat doing this with all of the other numbers you need to factorise.

example.10a + 40b number which goes into both is 10 10 (1a + 4b)
