E=F/Q Work=FxD From this, when E=F/Q is rearranged and substituted into W=Fxd the equation, W=EQd is derived Work=field strength x charge x distance Voltage is defined as energy per unit charge so it is V=W/Q This can be rearranged to become W=VQ Which is then substituted into W=EQd to become EQd/Q=V or v=Ed. This can be rearranged to E=V/d. due to this field strength is measured in volts per metre. As the electric field gets further from the charged point the field weakens so the force it applies does as well, so . So   When the coefficients are worked out the equation becomes  = the permittivity or free space F=the magnitude of the force between 2 charged bodies When E=F/Q is substituted into the equation, a new equation is derived.
