This process produces two genetically identical daughter cells from one parent cell
In this phase of Mitosis the chromosomes become visible as threads become shorter and thicker. Spindle develops between them and the nuclear membrane breaks down.
In this phase chromosomes are seen as two chromatids joined at a centromere. They are arranged onto the equator of the spindle by their centromeres.
In this phase the sister chromatids move along the spindle fibres to opposite poles
The separated pairs of chromatids are now chromosomes which begin to unwind. A nuclear membrane forms and nucleus appears at each pole.
After nuclear division is complete, the cytoplasm divides, forming two cells.
