The refrigerator is something that us can use  commonly but...  what is the origin of this important machine?   Surely you have a refrigerator and use this for keep your food in good condition. Is something very common in our lifes  but ... can you imagine the first refrigerator or maybe in what year it was built?                 Let's  talk about it!     (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

Slide 3

The first data about, how to  save ice is from China in the century XI B.C. Marco Polo told us, how chinese people did  ice cream after that, the indians,  greeks  and romans adopted this custom.

Slide 4

Alejandro Magno  said: "crash the ice from the mountains and carry up by  relay, when you had arrived put it in caves” Greeks carried up ice from  Mount Olympus to refresh their wines. In America people did  pots where they put the meals, and they dug  a hole in the ground near their home and cover these pots

Slide 5

Before mechanical refrigeration systems were introduced, people cooled their food with ice and snow, either found locally or brought down from the mountains. The first cellars were holes dug into the ground and lined with wood or straw and packed with snow and ice

Slide 6

In Spain the first  container to  save ice was a Wooden box. This ice was carried up by horses from faraway places. In 1871, Kart Von Linde, got an advance about frozen tecnics, he did a machine, it used  ether  and ammonia for  refrigerating. This invention was sold by Kelvinator, this box had a compressor that froze the water with ammonia.

Slide 7

The first refrigerators were bulky and uncomfortable even with  used the toxic gases ammonia (NH3), methyl chloride (CH3Cl), and sulfur dioxide (SO2) as refrigerants. Several fatal accidents occurred in the 1920s when methyl chloride leaked out of refrigerators.

Slide 8

    The origins
The next map show us differents inventors and their contributions through time

Slide 9

Today, the refrigerator is the most used appliance in the world and is present in almost every household in developed countries. It is definitely one of those "miracles" of modernity that can totally change your life.

Slide 10

How does the  actual refrigerator work? The refrigerator has  refrigerant,  which is a gas. This gas is liquid,  when this liquid  evaporates, absorbes  hot into the refrigerator. This chemical ebulles  to environmental temperature When the refrigerant is  steam, the compressor sends it into the refrigerator , and the steam absorbes hot, after that this gas returns to the compressor, it  gets free hot in the kitchen The refrigerant is liquid again, and the cycle stars over again. The cold is absence of hot
