Climate:

Is the normal pattern of weather conditions over a long period of time.

Depends on climatic factors:

·Latitude: Is the distance from one location to the equator measured by

the meridian arc that goes from this place to the equator.

·Altitude:The altitude or height is the vertical distance of an object with

respect to a given point of source, considered the zero.

·Landforms: One landforme is a geomorphological unite. Landforms

characteristics such as elevations slope , orientation , stratification , rock

formations and type of floor.

·Distance from the sea.

There are five climate areas in Spain:

- Atlantic

- Mediterranean

- Continental

- Mountain

- Substropical

VEGETATION

Variates according to the climate area:

Atlantic: Oaks, pines and meadows.

Mediterranean: pines, holm oaks and scrubland.

Continental: holm oaks, pines and shrubs.

Mountain: firs, oaks and meadows.

Substropical: Canary pines, bay and shrubs.
