Types of Energy
Definition and major types of energy
Energy: the ability to do work. the currency of physics energy is never created or destroyed, only converted into other forms mechanical energy comes in two forms: kinetic and potential An object has potential to have kinetic energy when released, and kinetic energy can effectively stored up some potential energy. Chemical potential energy: ionization energy and that's how much energy it takes to knock an electron out Nuclear energy: energy inside of a nucleus linear motion: translational circular motion: rotational
