- 2What is the Desktop Environment?A DTE can be customised by changing icon sizes, adjust sizes of windows, ,mouse settings, speed of mouse. Using your settings window, you can change the appearance of the desktop e.g. screen resolution
- 3What are files and foldersSaved files are usually referred to as files. They can contain text, numbers, images, videos or sound. It is possible to move one file from one folder to another. Files and folders can be renamed, copied and deleted.

- 8What is CAL (Computer Assisted Learning)?A way to learn a skill using a computer or interactive software on a DVD/CD by use of internet. Using CAL can be more enjoyable.
- 9What is VLE (Virtual Learning Environment)?A software system that uses the internet to support teaching and learning. It provides a set of tools that allows teacher to set up learning material. Feedback material can be given to teach particular topics and pupils can work at their own pace.
