Sculptures with religious themes and portraits of kings and nobles became more common.

Panel paintings became more common, because in Gothic churches, walls were replaced by large windows, so there were a reduced space for fresco paintings.

Miniature illustration sin books were perfected during this period.

the themes were mostly religious, also there were scenes of everyday life, landscape and cities.
