Timeline of computers

1. In 1837 the first computer resembling today's, the Analytical Engine, was made. It was designed by British mathematician Charles Babbage.

2. In 1947 the transistor was invented by Bell telephone company.

3. In 1953 IBM (International business machines) brought out their first computer.

4. In 1958 the integrated circuit was made , better known as the computer chip

5. In 1963, the computer mouse is invented

6. In 1969 the internet is formed, although barely any people had access to it.

7. In 1974 - 1977 the first personal computers are made by apple and IBM.

8. In 1975 Bill Gates develops Microsoft.

9. In 1961 the integrated circuits become comercially available, and then all computers were made using microchips.

10. The Analytical Engine was a proposed mechanical general-purpose computer designed by English mathematician Charles Babbage.

11. Following its development in 1947 , the transistor revolutionized the field of electronics, and paved the way for smaller and cheaper radios, calculators, and computers, among other things.

12. It wasn't until 1947 when the transistor was made that this beacame possible - The Idea was to make all the components a uniform size and shape, with the wiring built into the components.

13. In 1943 The colossus was the first electric programable computer

14. In 1822 Charles Babbage began developing the analytical engine

15. Around 1968 computers came down to affordable prices, although they were still extremely expensive.
