Engineering

Engineering

1. Industrial

   • Industrial engineers manage the layout an the design of industrial manufacturing
     • They schedule and direct the placement an the flow of raw materials, components, and machine parts
       • They supervise the running of the plant and ensure that the whole operation runs safely
         • areas of expertise: productions planning and methods, logistic and operation research, human resources.

2. Electrical

   • Is the largest field of engineering, employ the largest number of engineers.
     • It involves the development, design, application, and manufacture of systems and use electric power and electrical signals
       • I t can be divided
         • Electronics from communications
         • Electrical engineering signs
           • Important inventions
             • The transistor (1947) The integrated circuit (1959)

3. Software

   • Coordinates the construction and maintenance of a company's computer systems
     • The engineer requires programming skills and algorithm development
       • The engineer is responsible for configuring the systems and helps plan future growth

4. Chemical

   • Is the application of chemistry
     • Chemical engineers design, construct, and operate industrial equipment
       • Chemical engineers were among the first to incorporate autumatic controls into their designd

5. Mechanical

   • Mechanical engineers research, develop, design, manufacture and test all kinds of tools, machines, motors and other mechanical devices
     • Knowledge areas: dynamic, static, mechanical. resistance of materials, thermodynamics, heat transfer, kinematics.
       • Mechanical engineers manufacture machines, engines, tools, elevators and escalators and even robots
