1. Custody officer

   • takes care of citizen
     • responsible for general welfare
       • ensures PACE is followed
         • criminal justice act 2003
           • should see suspect immediatly
   • Has key responsibilities
     • checks citizens understanding of arrest, reason and caution
       • Will confirm personal details of citizen
     • logs everything
     • takes and records possessions
     • perform a non-intimate search
     • take fingerprints
     • Review detention
       • After 6hrs after 15 hrs and every 9 hours after that
