1. Functional testing

   • Synonym for Black-box testing
   • Product & domain knowledge required
   • Failures occur due to code
   • tests the internal workings of the software

2. Non-functional testing

   • Tests the operation of the system
   • Knowledge on product, domain, design, architecture and statistics required
   • Failures due to design, architecture and code

3. Structural testing

   • Classification of white-box testing
   • Takes into account the code, code structure and design

4. Confirmation testing

   • Retesting to confirm that the original bug was fixed

5. Regression testing

   • Done to ensure that the changes made hasn't affected other parts of the system
