History and evolution

1. 2007: Teachers Jonathan Bergmann and Aaron Sams from Woodland Park High School (CO) discovered software to record their presentations.

   • They recorded and uploaded their classes live for those students who could not attend.
     • These classes were spreading
       • Bergman and Sams were giving conferences all over the country talking about their methods.
         • Other teachers began to use online video and podcasts to teach outside the classroom, reserving time in the classroom for collaborative work and carrying out exercises in the subjects.
