1. FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT

   • a powerful mean to improve student learning
   • are not designed to provide inmediate context and feedback
   • feedback information to motivate students to learn better
   • Is effective for students who need to improve the gap between good and bad students
   • the state of formative assessment is quite weak
   • Strenght formative classroom: assessment capabilities of teachers
   • Benchmark : formative but mini-standarized tests that predict how well will do a test-taker at the end of the year

2. CHANGING ASSESSMENT

   • Student as the ultimate user
   • Focused on the task not in the student
   • Students must learn to self-assess
   • "Diversity in approach + appropiate treatment = diversity in approach"
   • political assessment which reduce assessment to thought tests
