     • This facet of the model promotes student opportunities for manipulating information at complex levels by employing generic thinking models like Paul’s Elements of Reasoning (Paul & Elder, 2001) and more discipline-specific models like Sher’s Nature of the Scientific Process (Sher, 1993). This facet of the ICM also promotes the utilization of information in generative ways, through project work and/or fruitful discussions.
