1. Plastic Container

   • A plastic container is both suitable and not suitable for a pie because it has a snap closed lid and can be opened and closed easily. This will also make the pie cool a lot faster, so this option can be suitable or not suitable. This all depends on what you prefer.

2. Foam Container

   • A foam container is suitable for pie packaging because they often have a little clip-like piece that allows you to keep it closed and to keep it even warmer until you eat the pie. However this may make the heat transfer through to you hands from the foam container.

3. Paper Bag

   • A paper bag is not the best option to use when storing a pie. The heat from the pie will escape and may break the bag because of the amount of moisture. Therefore using a paper bag to package your pie is not suitable and will most likely break open.

4. Cling Wrap

   • Cling Wrap is not suitable to use to keep your pie because it will transfer the heat through to your hands and is not appealing to the customers eye for a pie that they would want to buy.

5. Cardboard Box

   • A cardboard box is suitable for pie packaging as it is sturdy, absorbs grease, provides protection so the pie is not damaged and can be printed on so all the required packaging information is shown to the consumer.

6. Pie Foil

   • A Pie Foil Tray is suitable for pie packaging because they are great for keeping your pie nice and warm, while also allowing it to keep its shape when it’s cooling. This is also a great option because you can cook your pie in this tray and it will still turn out delicious! This also makes it look appealing to the customer!

7. Plastic Perforated Sealed Bag

   • A Plastic Perforated Sealed Bag can be appropriate for your pie, however it also depends on the type of pie. If it had toppings, this option wouldn’t work. But if it doesn’t have toppings and is pastry topped then it is suitable for your pie.
