1. Data Protection Act

2. SMART Goals

   • Specific
     • The six "W" questions
       • Who: Who is involved?
       • What: What do I want to accomplish?
       • Where: Identify a location.
       • When: Establish a time frame.
       • Which: Identify requirements and constraints.
       • Why: Specific reasons, purpose or benefits of accomplishing the goal.
   • measurable
     • Establish concrete criteria for measuring progress toward the attainment of each goal you set.
     • How much? How many?
     • How will I know when it is accomplished?
   • Achievable
     • establish an "achievable" target that your can actually succeed in getting, e.g.
   • Realistic
     • make sure that your target is realistic and you have a big enough budget and time frame
   • Time
     • set a time frame and a target, e.g. I want to raise £100 in a months time.
     • make sure that your target is realistic and your time frame is not to sure.
     • its always better to have a longer time frame than shorter

3. Prevention Measures

   • How they can prevent data being accidentally deleted from a spreadsheet and/or database. back up drive, regally save work and male a hard copy.
   • How they can prevent access to a spreadsheet/database/word processor document. have virous blockers and have a secure password that can't be decrypted.
   • To protect yourself from anyone accessing your account, Make sure your password is complicated but easy enough so you can remember it and make sure you don't have your name in your online banking account
   • How can access to Smart devices and PC’s/Laptops etc. be protected from an un-authorized use? set up a password protection, change your password often, install a hardware or software firewall and Download an antivirus software by going to www.avast.com

4. Computer Misuse Act

   • accessing computer material without permission, e.g. looking at someone else's files. Assuming that you carried out this crime you could spend up to up to 2 years in person and/or a fine.
   • accessing computer material without permission with intent to commit further criminal offences, e.g. hacking into the bank's computer and wanting to increase the amount in your account. Whit the condition that you broke this law, you would spend up to 5 years in prison and or pay a fine.
   • altering computer data without permission, e.g. writing a virous to destroy someone else's data, or actually changing the money in an account
