1. The Nature Of God

   • Mool Mantar
     • 'Ik Onkar: There is only one God'
       • God can be known when he reveals himself to Sikhs,he is beyond everything-Transcendant

2. God As Creator

   • God is the creator of the world, he's ominpotent 'you yorself are the creator'
     • Mool Mantar:'karta purakh' - he is the creator
       • When Guru Nanak pointed his feet towards a holy shrine for Muslims he said, 'kindly turn my feet in the diretion God is not'.

3. Nature Of Human Life

   • 'Truth is higher than living;but higher still is truthful living.'(Guru Granth Sahib 62)
     • 5 virtues: truth, compassion & patience, contentment,humility& self-control ,love.
       • Wisdom and courage are also important.

4. Sangat

   • 'Sat Sangat, the True congregation of the True Guru, is the soul, where the Glorious Virtues of the Lord are studied.'
     • Congregation of Sikhs in the presence of the GGS
       • Develop religious understanding,perform Sewa,meditate,akand path.
