Cotton Dress

1. Target Customer: This dress is designed for teenagers and probably women in their mid and early twenties. Or simply people who are prepared to spend a lot of money on a Dior dress.

2. Performance: The product would be used as a casual or official dress and mostly worm in the summer months.

3. Materials and Manufacture: The product is made from cotton. It was made by machine, probably manufactured in a factory. It is finished in a classical style, with what looks like a simple seam.

4. Life-Span: Cotton can last for a long time as long as it is cared for properly. Therefore, it could last for the whole lifetime of a person, then being passed on.

5. Safety: Cotton burns easily therefore it would be advised to keep away from fires.

6. Function: The product is designed as a summer dress and the product should be able to be comfortable and quite cool to wear. It does it functions well as it’s quite tight fitted however still flowy.

7. Ergonomics: The costumer will probably use the product on special occasions and holidays. It would probably be worn by its self to show off the beauty of the gown or with a summer sweater, maybe even a kimono.

8. Cultural Issues: This could cause some religions/cultures to dislike this dress as in their opinion it might show off to much skin.

9. Aesthetics: The product looks aesthetically pleasing. It’s a lovely clean white colour.

10. Cost: Dior products usually cost a lot of money, however you know the product will last for long and look great for a long time. Therefore, although everybody would like the prices to be slightly lower I would still say it is good value for money. Cotton itself is reasonably inexpensive.

11. Maintenance: Like I said before, cotton as a fabric can last for a long time as long as it is cared for properly, so it will have to be washed properly, ironed ect. It is also very important to read the labels to see what can be done with the garment. If the product ever does need to be repaired, it would be quite easy as cotton is fairly easy to repair.

12. Weight: The garment should be quite lightweight and easy to wear

13. Size: The dress should adjusted to any size. It would be really important to have the right measurements for the straps (or just to have re+adjustable straps)

14. Environmental Issues: This product could be reused or recycled.
