1. Current

   • It is the flow of electrical charge
   • In a single, closed loop the current has the same value everywhere in the circuit.
   • The unit of current is the ampere, A
   • The size of the current is the rate of flow of charge

2. Potential difference

   • Know as voltage
   • Drivinf force that pushes the charge around
   • The unit of potential difference is the volt, V

3. Resistance

   • Anything that slows down the current in a circuit
   • Measured in Ohms, Ω
   • The greater the resistance that across a component, the smaller the current that flows

4. Charge

   • The formula for charge is: Q = It
     • Q is charge flow (coulombs, C)
     • I is current (ampere, A)
     • t is time (s)
     • More charge passes around the circuit when the current flow is larger
