1. What Have I done in TAS

   • Entering and processing transacations on two systems
     • Quickbooks
       • What Have I learned
       • The Apartment Service also uses the accountancy system known as Quickbooks to manage accountancy processes.
         • On a daily basis, I have to manage both Quickbooks and Fivestar and process financial accounting data
           • In order to verify and process information on Quickbooks effectively, checks are routinely done for tasks such as; making sure the balances for Fivestar and Quickbooks are the same, making sure that descriptions match etc.
     • Record and Process Transcations and events
       • Introduction : 5* is a ERP System that The Apartment Service uses to manage the core processes. This system is used by a large majority of employees on a daily basis.
         • 5* has a function which allows users to monitor and process transacations for clients and suppliers.
           • I am one of the accountants within the organisation responsible for making sure that transacations on 5* are processed correctly, and this is one of the tasks that I do on a daily basis.
             • This part of the 5* follows accountancy policies and standards, so transacations are processed effectively, and employees outstide finance can easily and to determine whether a client has paid what they owe
               • The system is also quite flexible in processing non routine transacations for rare occassions which I have also done
                 • An example can include processing transacations covering compensation due to unfortunate events that occur within an Apartment
     • What have I learned?
       • Importance of managing financial data
         • By using two systems to input accounting data, I have grown to appreciate the importance of recording and processing financial data properly.
           • Managing financial data on fivestar properly makes it easier for not only the accounts department to understand, but also other departments.
           • By Recording and proecssing financial data accruately, and effectively it provides the accounts department with an easier time of understanding the financial situation of the company, es
             • I have also assisted the financial director on managing entries for the end of year period, and carrying them towards the next period.
               • I have also assisted with processing transacations from the company operating in Spain to UK and making sure that the exhange rates are correct for inter company taccounts.
