2. What does "professional" mean?

   • A profession a self selected, self disciplined group of people with special skills

3. Who governs is?

   • Peng is legally controlled by both provincial and federal governments
   • In order to practice, you must belong to a PEng society
     • These societies enforce the rules and can revoke licencing

4. Engineers must follow a code of ethics

   • A code is a set of specifications with the purpose of achieving a degree of safety, etc.
   • A standard is a set of specifications with the purpose of achieving uniformity

5. What is an engineer?

   • Use math & science to solve problems creatively
   • Number one concern is public safety
