- Designed to protect computer users

- There are 3 levels.
- 1. Unauthorised access to a
computer system.
- 2. Unauthorised access with
intent to a computer system.
- 3. Unauthorised Access with intent to
change a computer system.

- Copyright Designs and Patents Act 1988
- Protects people’s written, dramatic,
musical, film, broadcasts property .
- Makes it an offence to copy or distribute other
people’s intellectual property without permission.
- Creative Commons Licence
- Allows people with protected work to
allow free distribution of the work.
- They may allow commercial or non-commercial use of their work.
- Freedom of Information Act 2000
- This allows members of the public to access
information that is held by public services.
- Public Services are required to publish
information under this Act.
- Members of the public can request information under this Act.
