2. Types of audience

   • Unaware
     • Not familiar with the topic
     • The expositor can lead them
   • Indifferent
     • Knows the subject but not interested
     • The presenter can impact them with another angle on the topic they are not familiar with
   • Favorable
     • More likely to agree with the expositor but not totally commited
     • The expositor can show them another angle or something they are not familiar with
   • Unfavorable
     • May disagree with the expositor
     • The presenter can set moderate goals, slowly convince them, start with something they would agree with and then show new ideas

3. The Objective of a Presentation

   • Set the target of the presentation by answering:
     • Who is the last person in your audience?
     • What is the last person should take?
     • Why should the last person do what you ask?
   • Need to be structured in setting the objectives
