          1. Providing a suitable environment e.g. a shelter and a comfortable resting area.
          2. Freedom from pain, injury or disease
            1. Prevention of disease/injury/illness
              1. Quick diagnosis and treatment
              2. Freedom to express normal behaviour
                1. Providing enough space
                  1. Providing proper facilities appropriate for a species
                    1. Providing company for group animals
                    2. Freedom from fear + distress
                      1. Avoiding metal suffering by making sure their environment minimises stress (not too noisy/vibrations)
