1. Primary Information

   • Interviews
     • An interview is a face-to-face conversation between the researcher (interviewer) and the subject of the study (interviewee).
   • Surveys
     • The survey is carried out by applying a questionnaire to a sample of people and provides information on the opinions, attitudes, and behaviors of citizens.
   • Observation
     • It is a technique that consists of attentively observing the phenomenon, fact, or case, taking information, and recording it for later analysis.
   • Expectations
     • These are guidelines for formulating questions, articulating concepts relevant to the problem(s) posed, and making decisions about methodological approaches.
   • Focus Groups
     • It is a space of opinion to capture the feeling, thinking, and living of individuals, provoking self-explanations to obtain qualitative data.
   • Language Samples
     • Can be voice recordings or letters

2. Secondary Information

   • Literature
     • A literature review is a piece of academic writing demonstrating knowledge and understanding of the academic literature on a specific topic placed in context.
   • Documents
     • Documentary research involves the use of texts and documents as source materials: government publications, newspapers, certificates, census publications, novels, film and video.

3. Data collection is defined as the procedure of collecting, measuring and analyzing accurate insights for research using standard validated techniques. A researcher can evaluate their hypothesis on the basis of collected data.
